We have been guiding hundreds of students to conversational fluency for 20 years. We are passionate for our work and we love our students.

 

We offer student-centered, customized courses based on each learner's actual Chinese proficiency level. In addition, all students are encouraged to join our Conversational Fluency Program to enhance real-life communication skills.

 

For total beginners, we focus on building a strong foundation in pronunciation to ensure accurate and confident speaking from the start.

 

For lower-intermediate learners, we focus on helping you understand the Chinese way of thinking by explaining and practicing sentence structures and grammar. Language is an outward expression of inner thought, and understanding the logic behind Chinese sentences is key to real communication.

 

For intermediate learners, we guide you in building a solid foundation in Chinese characters. Unlike Latin-based languages that rely mainly on sound, Chinese phonetics alone doesn't provide enough clues to remember thousands of words. Mastery of characters is essential for achieving fluency and understanding the depth of the language.

 

For upper-intermediate learners, we help you strengthen your reading comprehension skills, which are crucial for speaking proper, fluent Chinese with confidence and precision.

Co-founder Sharon Chen:

I am Sharon from Shanghai, China. I have been teaching Chinese for 20+ years. I am good at listening carefully and communicating with students based on my philosophy education background and interest of psychology. I help students to build up speaking skills and confidence to express themselves in Chinese as much as possible. I enjoy my work and the nice connection with students. I can’t wait to meet you in classes！！！

Co-founder Hannah Wanstreet:

 

Hi I am Hannah from Arizona，U.S.. I am also known by my

Chinese name Wan Jie (万姐), a language enthusiast and content creator passionate about bridging cultures. I make friendly, easy-to-follow videos that help learners improve their Chinese, while also introducing American culture to Mandarin-speaking audiences.

 

My Mandarin journey began with a semester abroad in Shenyang, but true fluency came through years of immersive study, one-on-one tutoring, and working entirely in Mandarin-speaking environments. Known for my clear pronunciation and natural speaking style, I  bring precision and attention to detail to my language work, drawing from my background in software testing and logistics.
